Job summary

TEKsystems in Erie, PA is seeking candidates for an on-site Desktop Support/Helpdesk role to support a local enterprise IT department. You will diagnose and resolve software/hardware issues, deploy Windows 10/11, re-image from Windows 10 to 11, and document incidents in the service desk system.

Prior Helpdesk or Desktop Support experience preferred; IT certifications are desirable. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers first shift hours and onsite work in Erie, with benefits and opportunities

Qualifications

Experience in helpdesk/desktop support or PC technician roles.
IT certifications desirable.
Contract to Hire; first shift; Erie, PA.
Strong diagnostic and resolution skills for software/hardware and printers, copiers, and scanners.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents across Windows and Mac.
Swap laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10/11.
Re-imaging Windows 11 from Windows 10.
Assist users with IT incidents via the service desk system.
Take ownership of issues and perform problem analysis to restore service; escalate when needed.
Document requests accurately in the service desk system.
Install and configure new IT equipment.
