Job summary

TEKsystems in Columbus, IN seeks a Help Desk Support Technician to deliver customer-focused technical support across hardware, software, and enterprise technologies. You will support Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 apps, AD/Azure, Exchange, imaging, and basic network issues while ensuring excellent service.

The role is contract-based and fully onsite in Columbus, IN, with benefits eligibility for a temporary position.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a Help Desk, Desktop or Technical Support role.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365/O365 applications and services.
• Active Directory user and group administration.
• Device imaging, deployment and workstation setup experience.
• Microsoft Exchange administration and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Azure and cloud-based Microsoft technologies.
• Basic DHCP and network troubleshooting concepts.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, chat, or in-person.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, and connectivity issues.
• Support Windows 10/11 workstations and Microsoft 365 apps.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and group memberships in AD/Azure.
• Support Exchange and email-related issues and mailbox access.
• Image, deploy, configure, and replace desktops/laptops.
• Troubleshoot DHCP, VPN, and related network issues.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams while maintaining service quality.
