Job summary
CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking an experienced Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer to contribute to architecture discussions, system reviews, and roadmap planning for desktop integration efforts.
The role focuses on building and deploying Windows images, automating software distribution, and ensuring security through patch management and vulnerability assessment. Collaboration across IT teams is essential in a government-facing environment.
Qualifications
- Experience building and upgrading Windows desktop images (Win7 to Win10) and deploying software.
- Ability to integrate and manage OS deployment across laptops/desktops/servers.
- Familiar with security controls and patch management in enterprise images.
- Proficiency with scripting languages for automation (PowerShell, VBScript).
- Experience with MECM/MDT for software distribution and imaging workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of desktop OS images.
- Engineer large-scale software distribution for desktops and servers.
- Support OS patching infrastructure and automated build processes.
- Provide guidance on hardware and software requirements for images.
- Collaborate with teams on architecture and roadmap planning.
