Job summary

Huntsville Utilities is seeking a technically skilled IT Support Specialist to assist staff with desktop, tablet, and smartphone deployments and ongoing support. You will install and configure Microsoft Office and Huntsville Utilities applications, maintain servers, and help ensure security baselines are met.

The role requires 1–2 years of Windows support experience, familiarity with Active Directory, SCCM, WSUS, and basic networking. A HS diploma is required; IT certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; IT certification a plus (A+, Security+).
• 1-2 years of experience supporting Windows desktops, tablets and smartphones preferred.
• Experience with Windows Active Directory, SCCM, WSUS, and basic networking troubleshooting desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with desktop, tablet, and smartphone deployments and support.
• Install, configure and support Microsoft Office and Huntsville Utilities applications.
• Maintain and test network servers and related equipment per guidelines.
• Provide end-user training on computer and phone deployments.
• Collaborate with procurement on hardware/software specifications and purchases.
