Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking an experienced System Administrator to provide 7x24x365 support and to manage server OS, software, hardware, and networks across enterprise environments.

You will mentor staff, create documentation, and lead disaster recovery and business continuity efforts while coordinating across teams to sustain high availability and security of data, image, and video systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in computer science or related field.
• MCSE, VCA/VCP, or VCAP preferred.
• 5 to 8 years' experience in a Microsoft, Linux multi-server networking environment.
• 5 to 8 years' experience installing and supporting VMware.
• Experience with SAN environments and enterprise backups.
• Strong documentation of network topology and diagrams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple technologies and projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide 7x24x365 support to the organization and act as escalation point for L1/L2.
• Maintain, upgrade and manage server OS, software, hardware and servers.
• Install and configure software and hardware; monitor and troubleshoot outages.
• Develop IT policies, maintain internal wiki, and document standards for builds.
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity testing and design.
• Mentor support staff and train teams on new technologies.
