Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager of Design to support the management team in achieving business goals and ensuring exceptional service on the sales floor. You will lead clienteling, daily operations, and visual standards while developing the stores’ design team.

You will train and support associates and act as a role model in building customer relationships. This full-time role requires open availability and a commitment to the People-First philosophy.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of retail sales or management experience in a customer service setting.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop staff.
• Strong time management and multi-tasking capabilities.
• Physical ability to move on the sales floor and assist with duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to create an exceptional experience for customers and team members.
• Coach in the moment to reinforce customer service principles.
• Meet with the design team weekly to address opportunities and maximize designers’ productivity.
• Educate the team on product knowledge and selling skills to achieve goals.
• Create a positive environment where associates are treated with dignity per People-First Philosophy.
• Participate in seasonal floor sets and maintain visual standards.
• Resolve client service issues efficiently using client information systems.
