Job summary

The Container Store Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales & Design Consultant to design and sell custom spaces for homes and select small to mid-sized business environments.

This role handles from in-home consultation to design, installation, and organizing, building repeat clientele and referrals in addition to provided leads. You will identify B2B and trade opportunities, work with designers and professionals, and participate in a team focused on delivering scalable organizational solutions.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred; 2–5 years outside sales experience preferred.
• Experience designing spaces or closets is a plus.
• Proficiency with Salesforce, AutoCAD-based design tools, and Windows-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Meets or exceeds sales goals, conversions, and customer surveys by designing and selling complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Establishes trust and understands customer needs to design and present projects and customized plans
• Manages multiple customer projects with high detail, timely follow-up, and clear communication
• Develops clientele and new leads through relationships, referrals, and partnerships
• Builds relationships with interior designers, builders, realtors, and other business partners
• Identifies and manages small to mid-sized B2B/trade opportunities
• Attends installations to ensure positive customer experience and referral opportunities
• Maintains confidentiality of company and customer information
