Qualifications

• Customer service mindset or patient-centered approach is required.
• Experience in dermatology, healthcare, or aesthetics is preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance carriers (Medicare, commercial, HMO) is expected.
• Experience with EMR software such as EClinicalWorks or EMA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome patients and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
• Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Handle phone inquiries.
• Maintain patient records.
• Manage the appointment schedule, including auditing for future appointments, confirming attendance, and collecting necessary information before the appointment (insurance details and intake questions).
• Contact patients on waiting lists or with future appointments to offer earlier slots, focusing on filling the soonest available appointments for providers with open slots.
• Provide product education to patients and staff, and sell skincare products available for purchase.
• Perform significant multitasking and task management to ensure all responsibilities are completed promptly.
• Accept additional job duties assigned by the Practice Manager based on the practice's needs.
