Golden State Dermatology is seeking a patient services-focused professional in Walnut Creek to greet patients, verify insurance, and support front-desk operations. This role involves scheduling, auditing appointments, collecting information, and liaising with patients on wait lists to fill openings.

You will also educate patients on skincare products and contribute to a high‑quality, welcoming clinic experience with attention to detail and empathy.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset and patient-focused approach.
• Experience in dermatology or healthcare settings preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance verification and billing basics.
• Experience using EMR systems such as EClinicalWorks or EMA.

Responsibilities

• warmly welcome patients and support check-in/check-out.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients.
• Handle phone inquiries and maintain accurate patient records.
• Manage appointment schedules and optimize provider availability.
• Educate patients about skincare products and facilitate in-clinic sales.
• Multitask to ensure timely completion of all duties and assist with additional tasks as needed.
