Job summary

Covenant Logistics is seeking a transportation supervisor to oversee a multi-location department and a dedicated driver fleet. You will monitor safety, performance, and service levels, while coordinating loads and communications with customers.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with CDL preferred and leadership experience emphasized. The role includes managing payroll aspects, PPE, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Valid CDL preferred and 3+ years transportation experience required.
• Leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage department for multiple locations and/or additional customer-specific responsibilities.
• Manage Dedicated Fleet of Professional Drivers with authority to take actions and/or make recommendations affecting employment status.
• Monitor performance, attendance, safety and quality; maintain customer relations through communication and visits.
• Direct and dispatch transportation activities within the assigned department.
• Maintain driver PM schedules and assist with payroll, advances and fuel issues.
