Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee driver supervision and training at the operating company level. You will monitor DOT logs, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate driver data and paperwork for safe, efficient deliveries.

Responsibilities include scheduling support, safety oversight, and collaboration with the Transportation/Operations Manager to optimize routes and control costs. A valid CDL-A and DOT medical card are required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years transportation or related experience with knowledge of DOT and safety regulations.
• Experience operating computerized fleet management systems.
• Must have valid Class A CDL and DOT Medical card.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates including staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
• Assist in scheduling deliveries and pickups to ensure timely operations.
• Rides with drivers for training and evaluation purposes.
• Assist Transportation/Operations Manager with day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions.
• Ensure drivers comply with DOT and OpCo regulations and maintain logs and records.
• Enter and access data in fleet management systems.
• Monitor vehicle safety, ramps, handcarts, seat belts, and safe lifting practices.
• Coordinate tracking of driver information such as license status and tickets.
• Ensure delivery and driver paperwork is complete and accurate.
• Maintain trucks, tractors and trailers via post-trip inspections.
• Support cost savings by efficient routing and operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
