Covenant Logistics seeks a Department Manager to bridge operations between drivers, customers, and the company. You will oversee a department (Feed, Live Haul, Feed Mill), coach drivers, and ensure service quality and goals are met.

Responsibilities include dispatch, planning, and maintaining strong customer relations. You will collaborate with internal teams, monitor performance metrics, and manage attendance, safety, and DOT compliance while driving continuous improvement and efficiency across

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid CDL preferred.
• 1+ years of transportation experience required.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a dedicated fleet of professional drivers, monitoring performance, attendance, safety and quality.
• Direct and dispatch transportation activities within the assigned department.
• Address service failures, communications, equipment, utilization, safety, and maintenance.
• Maintain customer relations through clear communication and client interactions.
• Provide daily updates to Position Control spreadsheet and coach drivers as needed.
• Monitor loads and ETA/PTA changes, coordinating with customers and internal teams.
