Job summary

IES Communications seeks a Department Manager to supervise a team and drive efficient delivery across staffing, materials, and financials. You will oversee hiring, training, and performance, ensuring profitability and adherence to safety standards while coordinating with customers.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in supervision, 5+ years in telecom or related fields, and strong MS Office skills, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred. This role is based in Temple, TX, onsite, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications or related field.
• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in customer interface or liaison roles with clients.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise and discharge department staff as needed.
• Lead performance, promotions and pay-change recommendations per policy.
• Plan workload distribution and manage project profitability.
• Oversee scopes of work including structured cable, AV, security, BIM etc.
• Engage in bid processes and ensure quality and safety on customer work.
• Act as liaison with customer representatives and drive process improvement.
