Job summary

IES is seeking a Department Manager to supervise and direct the work activities of the department team, aligning staffing, materials, and financial oversight with customer delivery goals. Tempe, AZ is the base location.

You will recruit, hire, train, and manage staff; oversee project profitability; coordinate with customers; and ensure quality and safety while driving process improvements and adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven (7) years supervisory or managerial experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline and discharge department staff per company policies.
• Provide guidance to meet department goals and objectives.
• Manage workload distribution of department staff.
• Plan for, manage and maintain project profitability to achieve company goals.
• Oversee scopes of work including telecom-related fields.
• Participate in and/or facilitate bid processes.
• Ensure quality and safety on customer work and act as liaison with customers.
• Drive process improvements within accounts.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
