Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Superintendent to lead a medium-to-large telecom project on-site. You will ensure safety, quality, staffing, materials management and financial performance align with company requirements and customer delivery goals.

The role demands at least three years of supervisory or managerial experience in telecommunications, plus strong leadership of field crews. Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project is essential, with expected travel within the branch/region.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Lead Communications Technician or similar position for at least three years.
• Five+ years in telecommunications or related construction field.
• Proficient with a computer and MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Meet company driving standards.
• Ability to define a project scope, create tasks, and manage to completion.
• Experience with the trade tools listed in the job posting.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, or discipline project staff per company policies.
• Act as senior liaison with customer representatives.
• Plan, manage and monitor project profitability to meet goals.
• Ensure deadlines are met per customer requirements.
• Manage workload distribution and staffing levels for on-site progress.
• Monitor job cost postings, invoicing, collections and reporting.
• Complete project paperwork on time and prepare close-out packages.
• Perform quality checks and oversee safety and daily site walks.
