Job summary

PDS Health in Turlock is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to learn how to independently run a dental office while completing the OM Development Program. This role emphasizes leadership, culture, and accountable operations.

You will participate in structured curriculum, on-the-job practice, and regular coaching with the Regional Manager, travel between offices, manage staff performance and budgets, and work to drive revenue growth while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of related work experience in operational management.
• Operations Manager Trainee must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Required to travel to multiple offices per day, with reliable transportation.
• Travel may be planned or unplanned and is subject to change.

Responsibilities

• Modeling company culture, values, standards and best operational practices with a focus on PDS culture.
• Assessment, hiring and retention of right fit team members through training, supervision, coaching.
• Assess and resolve staff and patient issues with timely, effective solutions.
• Execute the PDS Operational Model with consistency to meet office imperatives.
• Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth.
• Manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget.
• Ensure cash management and accounting protocols are followed.
• Develop team and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience.
• Lead, coach and mentor team members for continuous improvement.
• Maintain professional appearance and communications.
• Understand People-related tools and processes for HR functions.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory bodies.
• Report weekly to Regional Manager on accomplishments and goals.
• Demonstrate competency in managing Front Office and Back Office teams by end of program.
• Develop and implement an office success plan for efficient operations during absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
