Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of experience in a dental or medical setting.
• Minimum 1+ year experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable.
• Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties: answer phones, mail, and email communications.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records management.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• Process insurance claims and follow up on denials or benefits.
• Post payments and manage accounts receivable.
• Explain treatment plan fees and available payment options.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
