Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Business Assistant in Rocky Mount to support the front office and ensure seamless patient flow. You will be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering excellent care and superior service.

You will use Dentrix for scheduling, manage communications with patients and insurers, and assist with insurance billing, payments, and office workflows to help the team operate efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients at the front desk to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties: answer phones, check mail, and liaise with patients and insurers.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and maintaining patient records.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• File insurance claims and follow up on claims; verify benefits and coverage.
• Post insurance and patient payments; process accounts receivable.
• Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
