Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Business Assistant to join Embrey Mill Dental Care. You will support front office operations, greet patients, answer phones, and help manage schedules and communications.

You will use Dentrix for patient scheduling and records, file insurance claims, post payments, and assist with accounts receivable while coordinating with providers to optimize office potential. HIPAA training and PHI protection are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office tasks: phones, mail, emails, and insurer communications.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and recording patient data.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• File and follow up on insurance claims; verify benefits and coverage.
• Post payments and manage accounts receivable.
• Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
