Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking an Operations supervisor to oversee Delivery staff, routes, and safety procedures at the Columbia area facility. The role ensures regulatory compliance, manages labor hours, and coordinates with Sales and Marketing to resolve customer delivery issues.

The position requires leadership skills, adherence to DOT/OSHA standards, and defenses with safety programs. Candidates should have relevant education and 1–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2- or 4-year college degree in Business Management or Supply Chain preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience.
• Complete Sysco approved defensive driving program; HazMat certification preferred; Valid Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of Delivery Associates and ensures adherence to SOPs, routes, and customer service.
• Ensures DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory compliance and accurate electronic logs.
• Manages labor hours and consumables within budget; prepares work schedules.
• Oversees asset utilization and coordinates repairs with relevant departments.
• Drives continuous improvement by proposing efficiency and cost-reduction ideas and implementing changes.
• Maintains communication with Sales and Marketing to address customer issues and delivery difficulties.
