Job summary

Sysco Baltimore, LLC is seeking a Transportation Supervisor in Jessup, MD to oversee delivery staff and operations. You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and on-time service while managing labor and budgets.

The role requires strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will coordinate with sales, conduct regular shift meetings, review productivity, and foster positive associate engagement.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; additional degree in Business/Management preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience in delivery/supply chain.
• Defensive driving program and HazMat certification preferred; CDL Class A desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work and safety of Delivery Associates; enforce SOPs and routes.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA and other regulations; maintain electronic logs.
• Manage labor hours and consumables within budget; prepare work schedules.
• Oversee asset utilization and coordinate maintenance; plan repairs.
• Review delivery productivity and reporting; suggest efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate with Sales/Marketing to resolve customer delivery issues.
• Visit customers to address delivery challenges and build relations.
• Maintain associate engagement and morale; conduct pre-shift meetings.
• Support safety investigations and incident reporting; enforce policies.
