Job summary

Sysco, a leader in foodservice distribution, seeks an Operations supervisor to oversee Delivery activities. You will guide delivery staff, ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA, monitor safety, and manage schedules and resources to support efficient customer service.

Responsibilities include enforcing policy, coordinating with sales and marketing on delivery issues, and driving process improvements. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a focus on safety and regulatory adherence

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• 2- or 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to SOPs and routes.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (DOT, OSHA) and up-to-date electronic logs.
• Manages labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed.
• Oversees asset utilization and organizes required repairs.
• Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting and suggests efficiency ideas.
• Interprets and enforces company policies and safety procedures (food safety, DOT, record keeping).
• Communicates with Sales Management and Marketing to resolve delivery issues with customers.
