Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking an Operations leader to supervise the Delivery department, ensuring safety, compliance and efficient execution of routes. You will manage delivery associates, coordinating with Sales and Marketing to resolve issues, maintain logs, and oversee scheduling, training, and performance reviews in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.
• 2- or 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• Complete a Sysco approved defensive driving program.
• HazMat certification preferred.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License meeting Company standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to SOPs and planned routes.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA) and keeps electronic logs current and accurate.
• Manages labor hours and consumables within budget; prepares work schedules.
• Oversees asset use and coordinates repairs with proper departments.
• Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting; proposes efficiency and cost-reduction measures.
• Interprets and enforces company policies and safety procedures; collaborates with Sales/Marketing to resolve customer issues.
• Maintains communication channels with associates; conducts pre-shift meetings and safety observations.
• Coordinates with Safety department for training, incident investigations and safety inspections.
