Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead delivery teams, uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other regulations. You will manage schedules, monitor performance, and drive cost-conscious processes across the delivery department.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication with Sales and Marketing to address customer issues and improve service levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
• HazMat certification preferred and Sysco defensive driving program required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, ensuring procedures and routes are followed.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations and accurate electronic logs.
• Manages labor hours and consumables within budget; prepares work schedules as needed.
• Oversees asset usage and coordinates repairs with relevant departments.
• Monitors productivity, prepares reports, and suggests efficiency improvements.
