Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee delivery activities, safety, and staff. This role focuses on expense control, regulatory compliance, and optimizing daily routes to meet KPI targets and customer satisfaction.

The candidate will manage delivery supervisors, scheduling, and asset utilization while coordinating with Safety and Sales teams to address issues and improve operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Preferred 2- or 4-year degree in Business Management or Logistics.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily work and safety of Delivery supervisors, routing personnel and other associates.
• Ensures management staff effectively oversees day-to-day delivery activities, routes, and safe customer service.
• Ensures Delivery Associate compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (DOT, OSHA, etc.) and accurate electronic logs.
• Manages labor hours, travel, fuel and supplies within budget; prepares work schedules and shifts as needed.
• Selects, purchases and utilizes company assets; coordinates repairs as necessary.
• Monitors routing activities to meet KPI and customer satisfaction goals.
• Suggests efficiency ideas and cost reduction measures; assists with delivery changes.
