Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Louisville, KY seeks an Operations supervisor for the Delivery team. You will supervise delivery staff, ensure safety, adherence to SOPs, and provide excellent customer service while coordinating with Sales and Marketing to resolve issues.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, regulatory compliance (DOT/OSHA), budgeting for labor and supplies, and driving efficiency improvements across the delivery department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• 2- or 4-year degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar (preferred).
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.
• Complete a Sysco approved defensive driving program.
• CDL is preferred but not required
• HazMat certification preferred.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License meeting Company standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to SOPs and planned routes.
• Ensures DOT/OSHA and other regulatory compliance and keeps electronic logs current.
• Manages labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra days and shifts.
• Oversees use of company assets in support of the Delivery department.
• Coordinates with Safety for training, observations, and accident investigations.
• Communicates with Sales and Marketing to resolve delivery issues.
• Visits customer locations to address issues and assess delivery difficulty.
