Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee Delivery staff, ensure DOT/OSHA compliance, and drive safe, efficient customer service. The role involves scheduling, asset management, and collaboration with Sales and Marketing to address delivery issues.

The position requires 1–3 years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED, with preference for a 2- or 4-year degree and CDL/HazMat/Class A qualifications.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; or equivalent. Two- or four-year degree in Business, Supply Chain or similar preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
• Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Sysco-approved defensive driving program; CDL preferred; HazMat preferred; Class A license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of Delivery Associates per SOPs.
• Ensures DOT/OSHA compliance and maintains current electronic logs.
• Manages labor hours and consumables within budget.
• Prepares work schedules, including extra days and shifts as needed.
• Oversees asset utilization in the Delivery department and coordinates repairs.
• Reviews delivery productivity and implements efficiency improvements.
• Communicates with Sales and Marketing to resolve customer issues.
• Visits customer locations to address delivery challenges and opportunities.
• Maintains open communication with associates and fosters engagement.
