Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a capable individual to support store operations as the Deli Bakery HMS lead, stepping in for the Deli Manager as needed. You’ll coach associates, manage labor, and help drive the department to meet budgeted goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Role focuses on customer service, merchandise presentation, and efficient operations. The candidate should be able to work without supervision when required and uphold Food Lion’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
• Accreditation as a Certified Food Safety Manager or ability to achieve within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to meet productivity targets.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure safety, quality, and department appearance and sanitation standards.
