Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager and supervise HMS Associates.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to meet productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with Food Lion philosophy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Deliver enthusiastic customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer needs.
• Control expenses through ordering, supplies, and equipment care.
• Use company tools and reports (ACIS, scheduling, CAO, etc.) and understand inventory systems.
• Maintain department appearance, safety, and sanitation in line with policies.
• Ensure schedules enable extraordinary customer service and adjust as needed.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Record accidents and monitor shrink; coach on loss prevention.
