Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a capable Deli Bakery HMS Supervising Associate to assist in managing the Deli Bakery HMS Department when the Deli Manager is absent. You will oversee labor, coach staff to meet productivity goals, and promote a welcoming store culture aligned with our Brand Strategy.

You will also help drive cost controls, maintain department appearance and safety standards, and ensure exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to lead and manage a team.
Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
Must be accredited as a Certified Food Safety Manager or complete company training within first 90 days; accreditation must be maintained.

Responsibilities

Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
Labor management and coaching of associates to meet productivity expectations.
Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with Brand Strategy and Culture.
Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
Maintain exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience.
