Job summary

Food Lion in Banner Elk, NC is seeking a Deli Bakery HMS Supervisor to support the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager. You will supervise HMS Associates, manage labor, and promote a culture aligned with Food Lion Strategy while delivering strong customer service.

Responsibilities include ensuring department appearance, food safety, policy compliance, and efficient ordering and scheduling.

Qualifications

• A high school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or will be required to attend company provided training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment; Accreditation must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager, including supervising the performance of all duties and responsibilities of Deli Bakery HMS Associates.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of our Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Promote a positive shopping experience with enthusiastic customer service and departmental product knowledge.
