Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Deli Bakery HMS Manager to lead the department, hire and train staff, and drive performance. You will manage labor, coaching, and scheduling while maintaining food safety, quality and a positive customer experience in a fast-paced store environment.

You will ensure adherence to brand standards, create a welcoming atmosphere, and work with management to meet financial goals and store expectations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to lead and manage a team.
Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
Must be able to meet minimum age requirements.
Accredited by a food safety authority or obtain accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
Supervise performance and conduct formal appraisals for direct reports.
Daily management of labor and coaching to meet productivity goals.
Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with Brand Strategy and Culture.
Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
Ensure excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience.
