Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Certified Food Safety Manager accreditation or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deli bakery HMS department in absence of Deli Manager.
• Manage daily labor and coach associates for productivity.
• Provide leadership to promote brand culture and customer focus.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer service and positive shopping experience.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer needs.
• Control expenses through ordering and use of supplies and equipment.
• Utilize company tools and reports (ACIS, scheduling, etc.).
• Ensure department appearance, safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
• Write schedules to provide exceptional service, every other week.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, and display of merchandise.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions; comply with regulations.
• Record and report accidents as per Food Lion procedures.
• Monitor shrink and coach associates to prevent losses.
