Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements. You will support the Applications Engineering team, demonstrating interoperability and field-readiness across multi-domain environments.

Role involves up to 50% travel to customer sites and labs, with a remote working option depending on location. Requires 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech and active U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field; 2–5 years relevant experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiar with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map operational needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan network configurations and conduct field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to benchmark data and verify solution architectures.
• Support Business Development with technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Present technical demonstrations tailored to low-signature, resilient, and tactical edge needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research for integrations.
• Engage with USSOCOM stakeholders and leads across PEO-SOF Digital Applications / PEO-C4, SOF AT&L, SOFWERX.
• Gather field feedback to translate into product roadmap inputs and track progress.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs.
