Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements. This role involves travel, field trials, and collaboration with engineering and business development teams to advance tactical radio solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Citizen due to clients under U.
• Practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USSOCOM capability gaps and mapping operational needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live-on-the-air execution of field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to leverage testing and benchmarking data to verify architectures.
