Job summary

Silvus Technologies is seeking a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements. The role involves supporting engineering and business development on field trials, demonstrations, and interagency coordination. Up to 50% travel with a 100% remote option depending on location.

Ideal candidates have a technical degree with 2–5 years in systems or defense tech, familiarity with SDRs, RF testing, and IP routing. Security clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, Network Eng or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of experience.
• Alternative: High School Diploma with 5+ years relevant technical/defense experience.
• Security clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizen required; background check and drug test mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Support field trials, modernization, and user evaluations.
• Coordinate with BD team to address technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Develop technical demonstrations for low-signature, resilient, and tactical edge needs.
• Assist in drafting responses to RFIs/RFPs and test end-to-end networks.
