Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements across expeditionary and tactical environments.

You will support field trials, collaborate with engineering and business development, and travel up to 50% for demonstrations and testing, with remote options depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field, with 2–5 years’ experience in systems engineering or defence tech, or HS diploma + 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with Software-Defined Radios, IP routing protocols, or tactical comms systems.
• Experience with RF test gear (spectrum analyzers, signal generators) and basic lab setups.
• Security clearance: govt SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months.

Responsibilities

• Design and map Marine Corps network goals to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations, and evaluations.
• Collaborate with BD to align tech needs with strategic priorities.
• Develop technical demos for expeditionary networks and edge testing.
• Conduct market research for integrations with industry partners.
