Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps customer requirements. You will support field trials, demonstrations, and architecture validation across expeditionary, littoral, ground, airborne, and unmanned environments.

You will work with Applications Engineering and Business Development teams, travel up to 50%, and may have a 100% remote option depending on location, reporting to the Director of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defence technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defence experience.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and map network requirements to tactical radio solutions for Marine Corps use.
• Plan configurations and run live field trials and assessments.
• Collaborate with engineering and BD teams to validate solution architectures.
• Support engagement with MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval warfare centers.
• Prepare and present technical demonstrations for expeditionary and tactical edge networks.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and demonstrations.
