Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Air Force requirements. You will work with Applications Engineering to demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster radios across airborne and expeditionary environments.

This role includes up to 50% travel and a strong emphasis on technical storytelling for customer engagements. Eligible candidates should have a technical degree with 2–5 years in defense tech or systems

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Electrical/Computer/Network Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech.
• Exposure to Software-Defined Radios (SDRs) or IP-based routing protocols.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. citizenship is required for client contracts.
• Background check and drug test mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Analyze US Air Force operational priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Business Development to ensure technically sound architectures.
• Support the BD team with technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Develop technical demonstrations for airborne, edge, and expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses with technical input and reviews.
• Conduct market research on potential industry partnerships and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with DoD stakeholders to translate field feedback into roadmap inputs.
