Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force to bridge RF capabilities with AF requirements.

You will work with Engineering and Business Development to demonstrate field-readiness of our StreamCaster MANET radios across airborne, surface, and expeditionary environments, with up to 50% travel and a remote work option depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech.
• Security clearance: SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical comms.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Proficiency with TCP/IP networking, Linux, or scripting (Python/C++).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work remotely depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Support field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to verify architectures.
• Align with Business Development on technical needs and priorities.
• Build and present technical demos for airborne and expeditionary networks.
• Conduct market research for partner integrations and test end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with AF program offices and labs (DAF PEO C3BM, PEO C3I&N, AFLCMC, AFRL).
• Capture field feedback to inform product roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% and perform field tests.
