Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with United States Marine Corps requirements. You will collaborate with Applications Engineering and Business Development to demonstrate field-ready StreamCaster radios across expeditionary environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel for field tests and customer demonstrations, with a remote work option depending on location, and a focus on technical stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Force design and network design goals to map requirements to radio solutions.
• Support technical planning and live-on-air execution of field trials and modernizations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development to meet strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for expeditionary and tactical edge networking needs.
• Perform market research to identify potential integrations with industry partners and test end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with Marine Corps stakeholders and translate feedback into roadmap inputs.
