Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps customer needs. You will work with Engineering and Business Development to demonstrate interoperability and field‑readiness of StreamCaster radios across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defence experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Practical experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux environments, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Force Design, Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations (EABO), Marine Air‑Ground Task Force (MAGTF) network design goals and mapping operational requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live‑on‑the‑air execution of field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to leverage continuous testing and competitive benchmarking data, helping verify that proposed solution architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain close alignment with the Business Development team to support their ongoing technical needs and align work with established strategic priorities.
• Assist in building and presenting technical demonstrations tailored to expeditionary littoral and tactical edge networking needs.
• Perform market research to identify potential integrations with industry partners and test end‑to‑end network architectures.
• Assist Business Development in engaging with technical stakeholders across MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval warfare centers.
• Travel Requirement – 50%; frequent travel to customer sites, research laboratories, and strategic field‑testing environments.
