Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements and emerging trends. You will work with Engineering and Business Development teams to demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster MANET radios across expeditionary environments.

Travel up to 50% for field tests, meetings, and demonstrations; remote work option available depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/CS/Network Engineering or related C5ISR field; 2–5 years in relevant roles.
• Exposure to Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, Linux, or scripting languages (Python, C++) for test automation.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
• Outdoor environment for large-scale field trials and demonstrations.
• Lift equipment up to 50 lbs for setup of complex demonstrations and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and map Marine Corps network goals to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, configuration, and live field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to leverage testing and benchmarking data for sound architectures.
• Align with Business Development to meet strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demos for expeditionary networks.
• Perform market research for potential integrations with industry partners.
• Engage with MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems and naval centers.
• Gather field feedback to translate requirements into product roadmap inputs.
• Travel to customer sites and labs for field testing (up to 50%).
