Job summary

Hornblower Group's City Cruises division seeks a Deckhand to keep the vessel clean and welcoming, ensuring guest comfort and safety while underway, and assisting with docking. You will contribute to an outstanding guest experience through proactive service and teamwork.

Responsibilities include following safety procedures, drills, line handling, and supporting vessel systems; prior hospitality or maritime exposure is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in the RESPECT SERVICE SYSTEM.
• Follow safety procedures to protect passengers and vessel.
• Participate in routine safety drills for major incidents.
• Handle lines to moor vessels to pier.
• Stand watch to look for obstructions or navigational aids.
• Assist with maintenance of vessel equipment and systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas.
• Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time.
