Job summary

Hornblower Group’s City Cruises division in Hingham, MA is seeking a Deckhand responsible for guest comfort, vessel cleanliness, and safety while underway. You’ll assist with docking, watches, and daily operations, delivering a memorable waterfront experience.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, teamwork, and strong service skills, with shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification a plus but not required.
• Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be available for nights, weekends and major holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers per RESPECT SERVICE SYSTEM.
• Follow safety procedures to protect passengers and vessel.
• Participate in safety drills for emergencies such as man overboard and fire.
• Assist with docking/undocking and lines to moor vessels.
• Stand watch on bow/stern/bridge wings to spot obstructions and navigational aids.
• Maintain cleanliness and routine operations of vessel equipment and common areas.
