Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking two collaborative Daytime RN Desk Nurses / Assistant Unit Managers in Connecticut. You will partner with Lead Unit Managers to oversee daily care delivery, clinical documentation, orders, and unit workflows across two units, Monday through Friday, day shift.

You will serve as a clinical-administrative leader, guiding floor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, and ensuring regulatory compliance and smooth operations in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Connecticut required.
• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience in SNF/LTC with supervisory/desk nurse experience.
• Proficiency with EMR systems (PointClickCare) and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily unit operations and desk leadership with Lead Unit Manager.
• Review and reconcile physician orders, labs, and pharmacy profiles for timely care.
• Communicate with physicians, nursing teams, and families to align care plans.
• Assist with comprehensive resident assessments and care planning updates.
• Provide coaching and guidance to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs on the floor.
• Ensure EMR documentation complies with DPH regulations and QAPI standards.
