Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking two Daytime RN Desk Nurses/Assistant Unit Managers in Connecticut to partner with Lead Unit Managers in directing daily unit operations, clinical orders, and care delivery across designated units.

The role combines clinical nursing leadership with administrative responsibilities, Monday–Friday daytime shifts, with emphasis on documentation, coordination, and regulatory compliance. Strong LTC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut.
• 2–3 years in SNF/LTC with supervisory/desk nurse exposure.
• Strong administrative multitasking and order reconciliation.
• Proficient in EMR (PointClickCare) for care planning and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily unit operations with Lead Unit Manager and nursing staff.
• Review, process, and reconcile physician orders, labs, and reports.
• Liaise with physicians, therapy teams, families, and staff on care plans.
• Assist with resident assessments, care plan updates, and discharge prep.
• Provide coaching and guidance to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs on the floor.
• Maintain EMR documentation standards per state regulations.
