Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC in Connecticut is seeking two collaborative Daytime RN Desk Nurses / Assistant Unit Managers to partner with Lead Unit Managers, overseeing daily care delivery, clinical documentation, physician order processing, and unit workflows across two resident units.

This dual clinical-administrative leadership role offers Monday–Friday daytime hours without full solo administrative burden, with opportunities to coach floor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of Connecticut.
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or LTC with supervisory responsibilities.
• Proficient in EMR systems (PointClickCare) and clinical documentation.
• Excellent communication with physicians, leadership, and resident families.

Responsibilities

• Unit Operations & Desk Leadership: coordinate daily unit operations, shift reports, and nursing workflows across two units.
• Clinical Order & Chart Management: review, process, and reconcile physician orders, labs, and pharmacy profiles.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination: liaise with physicians, therapy teams, families, and nursing staff on care plans.
• Resident Assessment & Family Communication: assist with assessments, care plans, and hospital discharge prep.
• Floor Staff Guidance & Support: coach RNs, LPNs, and CNAs; ensure documentation standards.
• Regulatory & Quality Oversight: maintain EMR documentation in line with CT DPH regs and QAPI benchmarks.
