Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC is assisting a Connecticut-based senior healthcare organization in recruiting two Daytime RN Desk Nurses/Assistant Unit Managers. You will partner with the Lead Unit Manager to supervise day-to-day care delivery, clinical documentation, order processing, and unit workflows across two resident units.

The role blends clinical expertise with administrative leadership, with Monday–Friday daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience in SNF or LTC settings, with supervisory/desk nurse duties.
• Strong administrative multitasking and order reconciliation abilities.
• Proficiency with EMR systems for care planning and audits.
• Excellent interpersonal communication with physicians, leadership, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily unit operations and shift reports with the Lead Unit Manager.
• Review, process, and reconcile physician orders, lab results, and pharmacy profiles.
• Serve as liaison between physicians, therapies, families, and nursing staff to align care plans.
• Assist with resident assessments, care planning updates, and hospital discharge prep.
• Provide coaching and guidance to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs on the floor.
• Maintain EMR documentation standards in compliance with regulations.
