Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. seeks two Daytime RN Desk Nurses / Assistant Unit Managers in Connecticut to collaborate with Lead Unit Managers on unit operations and care delivery. This role blends clinical expertise with administrative leadership across two units, Monday–Friday, daytime hours.

You will oversee orders, documentation, and workflow while mentoring floor staff and ensuring regulatory compliance. Valid CT RN license and LTC experience required.

Qualifications

• CT RN license required.
• 2–3 years LTC/SNF nursing with supervisory/desk nurse experience.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities for two active units.
• High EMR proficiency for care planning, orders, audits.
• Excellent communication with physicians, leadership, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily unit operations and desk leadership with Lead Unit Manager.
• Review, process, and reconcile physician orders, labs, and pharmacy profiles.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care with therapy teams, families, and staff.
• Support resident assessments, care planning updates, and discharge prep.
• Coach floor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs; ensure clinical standards.
• Maintain EMR documentation in line with DPH regulations and QAPI.
